Message A few weeks back my Zs wheels (Work VS XX to be exact) had gotten stolen along with front calipers (still looking into some suspects but coming up empty handed). Well anyways when the theifs lowered the car down they dropped it pretty hard on some blocks and have caused some damage to some things. Local shop priced it out and im looking at close to $3200 for repairs and only getting $1000 for my wheels, for a total of $4200. The Z is currently valued at $5700 plus whatever cash value my recent swap reciepts add.

The agent has informed me that once repairs and costs of parts exceed 75% of blue book value it moves to being totaled per the state. I was also informed to late about supplemental coverage being obtainable for a certain dollar ammount on the ammount of coverage.

Now next question is this, what should I do next? Having a salvage title in my Z will eat me alive (not 100% sure why) so if they move to total lose then ill wind up being unhappy.

So current thoughts are
1. Take insurance value and just move on with life
2. Pull motor find a donor car have swap done into donor car with clean title, use current car for parts then crush it
3. Buy back Z, find a vert, drive it around and use my TT motor and do a TT vert with some goodies
4. Sit on the money and store the car (like originally planned) till spring then make my decisions then.

Option 3 or 4 are what im leaning towards because I love being behind the wheel of my Z and I can deal without it/one for the winter just maybe not a whole year.

Any opinions or thoughts would be great guys. Ill have better insurance coverage next time and be better prepared against theives, ill be adding an alarm and flood lights to the house along with a covered shelter once the winter is over.

People say life isn't measured in the ammount of breaths you take but
the moments that take your breath away...
My Z takes my breath away every time I'm behind the wheel.
